About the Role

TerraBella Summerville is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care/Medication Technician to join our team. As a key member of our community, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on care and physical/emotional support to residents, maintaining a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Observe, report, and document resident symptoms and conditions, including changes in skin, behavior, alertness, weight, dietary, and participation in activities.
  • Respond promptly to security system and resident call bells, and notify supervisors and/or Health Care Coordinators of increased care needs.
  • Assist with continence management, dispose of continence products properly, and maintain cleanliness of resident suites and community restrooms.
  • Serve and collect food trays, report meal refusals or loss of appetite, and maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and work areas.
  • Practice good standard care precautions, including cleanliness, hygiene, and health.
  • Help residents maintain independence, promote dignity, and physical safety.
  • Participate in and lead activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation, transferring, and eating.
  • Engage residents in life skills and other life enrichment activities.
  • Greet and assist internal and external customers, guests, family members, residents, vendors, and team members.
  • Perform resident laundry as assigned and needed.
  • Medication Tech duties include reviewing service plans, assisting with medication administration, documenting and initialing medication records, maintaining confidentiality, and reporting resident concerns.
Qualifications
  • Certified Nurse's Aid certification preferred.
  • High School diploma/GED.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • CPR Certification preferred.
  • First Aid Certification preferred.
  • Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
