Community Care Specialist

As a Community Care Specialist, you'll play a vital role in providing day-to-day support and care to our program participants. This may include assisting with personal care tasks such as bathing, toileting, and teeth brushing, as well as teaching individuals household maintenance, meal preparation, and shopping skills. You'll also have the opportunity to accompany participants on appointments and administer medications in accordance with residential guidelines.
Our Community Care Specialists receive comprehensive training on CPR/First Aid, Safety Care, Defensive Driving, and the Medication Administration Program (MAP). You'll also have the opportunity to participate in program-specific training at your work site.

Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day support and care to program participants, including personal care tasks and household maintenance
- Assist participants with meal preparation and shopping skills
- Accompany participants on appointments and administer medications as needed
- Participate in comprehensive training programs, including CPR/First Aid, Safety Care, and the Medication Administration Program (MAP)
- Attend program-specific training at your work site
Requirements:
- 18+ years old
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License and good driving record
- COVID vaccination is required for this position
