Role Summary:
The Enterprise Systems Administrator will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive Windows and VMware system administration support to our government clientele. This position demands a proactive individual with exceptional communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management of directory servers within the system administrative network domains, ensuring compliance with security protocols.
- Conduct maintenance and system analysis, including performance monitoring and technology assessments.
- Install and maintain server hardware, interfaces, and cabling.
- Document changes and develop plans and diagrams to support system administration.
- Collaborate with the Network Operations Center (NOC) and other technical teams to report on IT infrastructure changes and issues.
- Administer the Virtual Machine environment using VMware technology.
- Ensure regular backups of server files and maintain offsite backups as per established schedules.
- Facilitate the migration of Active Directory services and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
- Develop IT Project Plans to support operational and security mandates.
- Provide installation and support for security software, ensuring all systems are up to date.
- Operate and maintain approved security tools to ensure compliance with security standards.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience in Windows/Hyper-V enterprise-level systems administration.
- Possession of a valid Microsoft certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate).
- Experience in managing Windows Server OS and domain architecture.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Eligibility to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Proven ability to deliver technology solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated and adaptable to changing work conditions.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
