The Maintenance Engineer is a key member of the Bull Moose Tube team, responsible for ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of plant equipment and facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial machinery and mechanical and electrical aptitude.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement plans for the development, design, construction, modification, and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
  • Establish standards and policies for installation, modifications, testing, operating procedures, inspection, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Visually inspect equipment to detect malfunctions or need for repair, adjustments, or lubrication.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of various topics and applications to recommend and implement new programs and concepts.
  • Manage and support capital equipment/development projects, including project scoping and initiation, research, planning, and implementation.
  • Provide engineering support to the Operations and Maintenance Departments.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis by applying industry-recognized techniques.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of industrial machinery and strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Ability to create layouts, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings with ACAD software.
  • PLC knowledge or electrical ladder/logic circuits.
  • CAD skills with a good understanding of dimensioning & tolerancing.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to effectively communicate at all levels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in an engineering/maintenance environment involving manufacturing.
