Job Title: Nurse Practitioner Family Practice

At Sun Life Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Family Practice. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working closely with our physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide primary and specialty care to our patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family medicine, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:
  • Examine patients, take medical histories, and record results to make preliminary diagnoses and develop care plans.
  • Assess patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, and obtaining and updating medical histories.
  • Identify short-term and long-range patient care issues and provide information and recommendations to patients and their families.
  • Order diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and blood work, and interpret test results.
  • Perform therapeutic procedures, such as immunizations and injections, and manage infections.
  • Instruct and counsel patients on therapeutic regimens and promote wellness and health maintenance.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans, instruct and counsel patients, and record progress.
  • Work in triage and make decisions on patient care needs.
  • Maintain outpatient records and record statistics, conduct research, and compile reports as needed.
  • Perform referrals to specialists, write prescriptions, and perform office procedures within the scope of expertise and protocols.
Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner or physician assistant program.
  • Current approval by the Joint Board of Medical Examiners and Board of Nursing to perform medical acts.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Arizona.
  • Master of Science in Health Sciences or related field required.
