Automotive Diagnostic Specialist

The Lead Mechanic Technician is responsible for performing automotive diagnostic, repair, and maintenance procedures on customer vehicles. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough diagnostic tests using store engine analyzers and electronic computers to identify issues with customer vehicles.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including brake, transmission, and electrical system repairs.
- Utilize Mitchell Repair, All-Data, and service manuals to research technical information and stay up-to-date on the latest repair techniques.
- Conduct road tests and test drives on customer vehicles to ensure repairs are completed to a high standard.
- Attend periodic training classes provided by the company and parts suppliers to stay current on the latest technologies and techniques.
- Review weekly efficiency reports and submit payroll hours in a timely manner.
- High school graduate or comparable vocational training.
- Working knowledge of automotive/truck mechanical and electrical systems.
- Occupational training signified by professional certification such as ASE.
- 3+ years of automotive repair experience.
- 5+ years of comprehensive automotive repair using diagnostic tools and computers.
- Working knowledge of parts ordering software.
- Experience using engine analyzers such as Genysis, Bosch, and OTC.
- Preferred certification UTI, NASCAR, or ASE certification.
