Cancer Care Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Compass Oncology, a leading provider of cancer care services. As a Cancer Care Specialist, you will be working in our outpatient practice within our Gynecology Oncology team, supporting the extraordinary care provided to our patients.
The qualified individual will utilize the nursing process to address the acute and chronic needs of patients with a cancer diagnosis, answer clinical questions, and gather information for providers to inform care delivery decisions. This position requires at least 3 years' experience as a practical nurse, with phlebotomy experience preferred.
This is a full-time opportunity, with a salary range of $25.15-$39.60 per hour. The location of this role is Rose Quarter Cancer Clinic in Portland, OR.
About the Role- Provides general nursing care to patients, including administering treatments, assisting with preparation of equipment, and observing, recording, and reporting patient's condition and reaction to drugs and treatments.
- Orders/prescribes medications as directed by provider and provides patient education on procedures, medications, and recovery expectations.
- Maintains patient files, records, and other information, and initiates IV fluids and IV therapeutic medications in accordance with LPN/LVN state nurse practice act.
