About the Job

This position is part of our comprehensive cancer care team, dedicated to providing support and guidance to patients throughout their treatment journey. The successful candidate will work closely with healthcare professionals to triage patients' physical, psychological, and social needs, offering education and resources to empower them in their care decisions.

The primary goals of this role include enabling patients with information and education, reducing stress associated with a cancer diagnosis, empowering patients to participate in their personal care process, improving understanding of treatment plans, and ultimately aiding in transition to survivorship when applicable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Triage patients' physical, psychological, and social needs
  • Offer education and resources to empower patients in their care decisions
  • Work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Assist patients in navigating the healthcare system
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Education to meet certification, license, or registration requirements
  • Oregon Registered Nurse License upon hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification upon hire
  • OCN certification within 18 months of hire
  • 3 years of oncology experience
