Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Business Systems - Financial Technology to lead our Finance Technology/Systems and Legal Technology/Systems team at Procore CPA. As a key member of our Business Technology team, you will be responsible for designing and operationalizing a Finance Technology and Legal Technology strategy and roadmap that enables our global Finance and Legal corporate objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a High-Performing Team: Build and retain a high-performing team through leading and developing members of the Finance and Legal Technology team, who are responsible for implementing and maintaining Finance and Legal technology tools and align with the mission, vision, and strategy of Business Technology at Procore CPA.
  • Strategic Leadership: Lead prioritization of Business Systems Technology initiatives based on organization(s) needs/strategy, including workload and budget, including being accountable and responsible for Procore CPA's end-to-end Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Plan to Report, and Legal business process architecture, solution design, and development.
  • Technical Program Leadership: Perform the role of technical program leadership and experience implementing Netsuite, Zuora, Coupa, Concur, Avalara, Blackline, Xactly, Pigment, SimpleLegal, Ironclad, Docusign, and other SaaS systems.
  • Finance Technology and Legal Technology Roadmap: In close partnership with key stakeholders such as Business Technology, Data Intelligence, Security, Finance, and Legal develop and implement a three-year Finance Technology and Legal Technology roadmap. One that is aligned with our business strategy in order to scale the organization through insights and self-service.
  • Automation and Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for automation and reduction of manual processes and partner with teams across People, Finance, Legal, Business Technology, Data Intelligence, on implementation of solutions, including performing regular business process reviews and QBRs to make ongoing suggestions and create action plans.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Empower teams and managers to make informed data-driven decisions and deliver meaningful insights and establish action plans to improve transactions and capabilities.
  • Vendor Strategy and Management: Establish an overall vendor strategy and lead vendor assessments in partnership with stakeholders and own strategic vendor relationships.
  • Data Security and Compliance: Collaborate with the Security and Legal functions to ensure data security and adherence to all data privacy regulations and we are compliant with SOX/audit requirements and significantly raise the bar in terms of data, business process, and access security.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field or equivalent experience with 12+ years of experience in internal/external IT business systems/technology experience and 10+ years of Finance and Legal technology experience and leading the Finance and Legal Technology teams.
  • Business Acumen: Excellent understanding of standard business practices and processes across Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Plan to Report, and Legal processes.
  • Leadership Experience: Strong leadership experience in a fast-paced, rapidly expanding, and global work environment.
  • Process Knowledge: Proven understanding of Finance, Payroll, Legal, and Business Technology processes and how they impact Finance and Legal systems.
  • Relationship Building: Proven track record of building strong relationships; excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation skills; responsible for managing business relationships.
  • Critical Thinking: Demonstrated critical thinking skills with the ability to develop a long-range vision, multi-year systems roadmap, and innovative solutions.
  • Team Building: A demonstrated track record of building successful, high-performing teams in conjunction with effective stakeholder management and influence.
  • Project Management: Significant project/product/program management experience, leading large, complex, system implementations.
