Medical Physicist, Radiation Oncology Specialist

Northside Hospital is a leading healthcare provider, renowned for its cutting-edge facilities and commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. As a medical physicist in our Radiation Oncology Department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in radiation therapy.
Responsibilities
As a Radiation Oncology Physics Support Professional, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing expert radiological physics support to ensure the safe and effective delivery of radiation therapy treatments.
- Collaborating with our team of medical professionals to develop and implement quality assurance and control measures for radiation oncology equipment.
- Assisting in the clinical application of radiation oncology, including the documentation of treatment plans and patient records.
- Supporting the Chief Medical Physicist in brachytherapy services, including high dose rate and prostate seed implantation.
- Ensuring that all physics functions and operations within the department meet state and other regulatory standards.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Master's Degree in Medical Physics or a related field.
- Certification in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
- ABR certification or eligibility.
Preferred Qualifications
We welcome applications from candidates with:
- At least 3 years of experience in Radiation Oncology, with a focus on clinical application of medical physics, high dose rate brachytherapy, and prostate seed implants.
Work Hours and Requirements
This role is a full-time position, working 7:30AM-4:30PM, Monday to Friday. We do not require weekend or on-call commitments.
