Your Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary adjuster when injury exposure is identified, particularly for cases exceeding $25,000, which may involve significant and catastrophic injuries. Manage both represented and unrepresented first and third-party claims with an independent settlement authority of up to $15,000. Handle claims across various states, including licensed and statutory states (OK license required). Address Homeowner liability property damage claims and, when necessary, manage lower complexity claims in support of larger catastrophes. May also oversee first-party non-liability injury claims (Medical Payment and PIP).

Your Duties Include:

  • Serving as the primary adjuster for identified injury exposures.
  • Managing various claim types, including complex first and third-party auto, homeowners, and watercraft cases involving injuries, first-party Medical Payment and Uninsured Motorists claims, liability injury claims, personal injury/property claims, litigated claims, and out-of-state claims.
  • Making coverage determinations and advising customers on the appropriate actions regarding coverage issues.
  • Conducting thorough investigations, which may involve interviewing witnesses, gathering and analyzing evidence (including medical records), and determining the necessity of independent medical examinations.
  • Making liability assessments.
  • Evaluating subrogation potential and initiating the initial notice of subrogation requests.
  • Actively contributing to our company culture through participation in employee resource groups and community service.
  • Embracing cultural norms, such as engaging in video calls when necessary for onboarding new team members and building relationships.

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in business, insurance, risk management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • 6-7 years of claims experience, with a minimum of 3-5 years in casualty claims.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Developing expertise in handling litigation files for minor, moderate, and complex litigated claims.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional decision-making capabilities and a customer-centric approach.
  • Comprehensive understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements, as well as CSAA IG claims policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills that respect diverse backgrounds.
  • Actively shaping our company culture through participation in employee resource groups and community service.
  • Willingness to engage in video calls when necessary for onboarding and relationship building.
  • Flexibility to invest additional time to meet business needs and assist other teams.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
