As a Registered Nurse in the Behavioral Health Unit at ECHN, you will provide high-quality patient-centered care to individuals with mental health needs. You will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care, communicate effectively with patients and families, and create a safe and therapeutic environment.
Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive assessments and re-assessments of patients' conditions and care needs.
- Develop and revise individualized treatment plans based on patient response to treatment.
- Follow the five medication rights to reduce the potential for medication errors.
- Document the nursing process and responses to care in a timely manner.
- Participate in Early Response codes and Dr. Strong codes, and attend PMT refresher trainings.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and current Registered Nurse license with the state of Connecticut.
- Certification in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) upon hire and maintenance of clinical competency during employment.
- Training in PMT and de-escalation techniques, with certification within 6 months of hire.
- Basic computer skills and ability to communicate effectively in English.
