Join our team at Trinity Health, a Catholic, not-for-profit, community teaching hospital. We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Behavioral Health Team. As a Registered Nurse in our ED, you will play a critical role in providing compassionate care to patients with various behavioral health diagnoses. Your responsibilities will include conducting intake screenings, evaluating symptoms, and triaging patients based on their condition. You will also assess patients' mental health needs, including observing their behavior and evaluating their progress. Additionally, you will coordinate care, ensuring accurate diagnoses and appropriate medication adjustments. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, psychologists, and social workers. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a graduate degree from an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program, with a BSN preferred. You will also need to be licensed as a Registered Nurse in Connecticut and have BLS certification.
