Position Summary

This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional patient care through the Nursing Process, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. The Registered Nurse will effectively delegate and guide both licensed and support staff, ensuring accountability for quality patient outcomes while respecting cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity in all interactions.

Key Responsibilities

The following outlines the essential duties and responsibilities of this position:

  • Utilize the Nursing Process effectively in patient care delivery.
  • Assess educational needs and implement appropriate teaching strategies tailored to diverse patient populations.
  • Communicate and manage nursing team resources effectively, serving as a leader within the Interdisciplinary Team.
  • Leverage data and information to evaluate and drive improvements for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Foster customer satisfaction and enhance employee morale through positive interactions.
  • Adapt communication and behavior to meet the specific needs of various patient demographics.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Required: Registered Nurse Diploma
  • Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing

Experience:

  • Required: None

Certifications:

  • Required: Current RN License in the state of practice
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Preferred: Certification in a clinical specialty area
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficient in computer skills for data entry and information retrieval.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Familiarity with Windows-style applications and various software specific to the role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Effective time management and self-direction.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment in decision-making.
Physical and Environmental Demands

This position requires the ability to frequently exert 10 to 20 pounds of force and occasionally up to 100 pounds. The physical demands exceed those typical of sedentary work. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
