Job Title: School Bus Driver

The School Bus Driver position performs driving duties for the school in accordance with state policies, and procedures of the school.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Operate a school bus over designated routes in accordance with specified time schedules and in accordance with the regulations and laws related to pupil transportation.
  • Transport students to and from school for curricular and extracurricular activities.
  • Pick up and discharge students at established school bus stops.
  • Report incidents which affect the safety of students and the operation of the school bus.
  • Maintain the school bus in a safe operating condition through prescribed daily vehicle inspections.
  • Ensure and maintain student order and discipline on school buses.
  • Maintain current knowledge of emergency evacuation procedures and techniques.
Secondary Responsibilities:
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Valid CDL Class A or B with passenger and school bus endorsements.
  • Must pass the following:
    • DOT drug screening
    • Clean driving record
    • Physical exam
    • Background check
    • All other company requirements
Work Environment:
  • School Bus
  • Work in various/extreme weather conditions
