Responsibilities

Sales Performance:

  • Implement store strategies and daily operations for both regular and peak periods in line with company goals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Execute promotional sales and special events (store, campus, community).
  • Collaborate with store leadership to analyze store financials and adjust objectives to boost sales.
  • Manage cash registers and store systems for transactions, order placements, and adjustments while adhering to safe cash handling practices, including cash drawer balancing, bank deposit preparation, and daily opening and closing tasks.
  • Ensure proper inventory management in accordance with store operational protocols.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas of the store environment.
  • Handle shipping and receiving duties.
  • Arrange sales floor to meet visual merchandising standards for General Merchandise and Course Materials.
  • Safeguard company assets and ensure the safety of team members and customers, adhering to company policies.
  • May review and authorize store pricing adjustments and write-offs within company guidelines.
  • Responsible for executing in-store course materials activities in partnership with course materials leadership.

Team Development:

  • Oversee the work activities of team members (full-time/part-time and temporary/seasonal) including:
  • Train and mentor team members on company and store standards.
  • Ensure adherence to company and store policies, procedures, and standards by team members.
  • Conduct onboarding processes for new hires.
  • Schedule team members' shifts within the store's operating budget.
  • Provide coverage for team members during breaks, lunches, vacations, or peak seasonal periods.

Customer Engagement:

  • Collaborate to establish and maintain a vibrant customer service culture, focused on solution-oriented selling and an outstanding customer experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Welcome customers and answer inquiries to provide information, direct callers, and resolve escalated issues.
  • Drive market growth initiatives such as POS email collection.
  • Maintain service level agreements for OMS Orders.
  • Review customer feedback as provided by Market Leader or Campus Store Manager and proactively address concerns.

Campus Collaboration:

  • Communicate and collaborate with the campus to include:
  • Day-to-day updates on store operational activities.
  • Facilitate campus events.
Other duties as assigned to support general store operations.
Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent.
  • 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Academic retail experience is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and financial acumen.
  • Advanced relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to influence a team and engage in customer outreach.
  • General computer proficiency.
  • Travel: minimal, less than 10%.
