POSITION OVERVIEW

The Overnight Financial Coordinator is responsible for executing end-of-day procedures, which include posting charges to guest accounts, performing night audit backups, and rolling the date. This role requires processing various payment methods such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit cards. Additionally, the coordinator will handle adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers, and miscellaneous charges. It is essential to print contingency lists to maintain a record of all guests for emergency situations.

In this position, you will also sell accommodations to guests without prior reservations based on availability. The role involves operating the telephone switchboard, processing wake-up call requests, and informing guests of any messages. Completing the Room Rate Variance Report and managing guest check-ins while assigning rooms are key responsibilities. You will activate or reissue room keys using an electronic key machine and ensure the bank is counted and secured at the end of your shift. Balancing and dropping receipts in accordance with accounting specifications is also required.

It is crucial to maintain a clean and organized work area, inspecting all materials for cleanliness and presentation before use. Reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management is part of the job. Adherence to company policies and procedures is mandatory, ensuring that personal appearance is professional and clean while maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets.

As a member of the team, you will be expected to welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address their service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation to guests. Clear and professional communication is essential, including answering telephones with appropriate etiquette. Building and maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues to achieve common goals is vital. Compliance with quality assurance expectations and standards is expected.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The role may require moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance. You should be able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. The position may involve standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods or throughout the entire work shift.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

Experience: Less than 1 year of related work experience.

Supervisory Experience: None required.

License or Certification: None necessary.
