Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit
Employment Type: Full Time - 12-hour Shifts
Shift Options: Day/Midnight or Night shifts (Hours: 7a-7p / 7p-7a)
Location: Newark, DE

The Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular ICU will encounter a variety of challenging experiences while caring for patients with cardiac medical and surgical needs. This role provides the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including cardiologists, medical residents, and cardiac surgery professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in daily multidisciplinary patient-focused rounds.
- Provide care for high-acuity cardiac patients, including titration of multiple vasoactive medications.
- Conduct invasive hemodynamic monitoring and manage ventilators.
- Oversee rapid weaning, intra-aortic balloon pumps, CRRT, and ventricular assist devices.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of hire.
- Experience in caring for high-acuity patients is essential.
- A minimum of two years of stepdown experience is required.
- Previous critical care experience is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and cardiac dysrhythmia proficiency are required.
- Delaware RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in Delaware is necessary.
