Chesapeake Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN to join our team in the Critical Care Unit. As a Travel Nurse RN, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the Critical Care Unit, including those with cardiovascular and respiratory conditions.
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to meet those needs.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Perform various medical procedures such as inserting IV lines, administering blood products, and managing arterial lines.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in the medical record.
- 2 years of experience in a Critical Care Unit or Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.
- Travel experience preferred.
- EPIC proficiency required.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
- Skills in arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care/management, and PICC line management required.
- 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts available.
- Days, evenings, and weekends required.
- Float and holiday shifts may be required.
