Vitas Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals and their families facing terminal illness and bereavement.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate patient care and develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, including physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and bereavement evaluations, to provide palliation of end-of-life symptoms.
- Provide education and training to patients, families, caregivers, and referral sources on patient care, including pain management.
- Participate in patient care meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and bereavement support.
- Represent Vitas Healthcare in a positive manner and maintain focus on the patient and family experience of care.
- Current licensure to practice nursing in the state where the Vitas program is located.
- A minimum of two years of nursing experience in hospice, home health, or community health in the last five years.
- Equivalent experience or licensure may be considered.
The physical demands for this role include assisting in lifting and transferring patients, standing or walking in excess of one hour per day, and sitting, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. The Registered Nurse will be required to sit and stoop, kneel, and crouch.
