Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Commercial Lending Relationship Manager II is tasked with the vital role of maintaining and enhancing current commercial partnerships while also pursuing new business opportunities, under the mentorship of the Regional President or Senior Relationship Manager. This position involves the promotion and management of both credit and non-credit financial products, focusing on a portfolio characterized by low to moderate complexities. The Relationship Manager II will initiate the development of a network of Centers of Influence (COIs) for referrals and is expected to participate in at least one networking event each month and serve on a non-profit board.

Key Responsibilities:

  2. Exhibit a positive demeanor and eagerness to learn while delivering exceptional service to all LINKBANK clients.
  3. Take charge of retaining and growing existing commercial relationships and begin to independently source new ones.
  4. Address the needs of clients seeking loans or lines of credit tailored to their requirements.
  5. Conduct interviews with clients and prospective clients, preparing documentation for commercial loans by gathering and analyzing financial data to ensure proper loan structuring for presentation to the loan committee or management.
  6. Manage existing loan and deposit accounts while promoting additional credit and non-credit products, including treasury management and third-party services like merchant services and credit cards.
  7. Collaborate with the credit department to analyze financial data for new or renewed loans.
  8. Monitor emerging trends or early indicators of potential credit issues, performing timely risk assessments and updating loan systems and customer credit files accordingly.
  9. Ensure compliance with loan terms and covenants by tracking the existing loan portfolio.
  10. Document and finalize approved loan requests in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, bank policies, and sound banking practices.
  11. Engage in continuous education to remain informed about current lending regulations and procedures.
  12. Actively participate in community and business organizations to enhance the visibility of the bank's brand and serve on various civic committees to boost community involvement.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: A bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience is required.

Skills and Abilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of commercial and consumer loan and deposit products.
  • Training in commercial lending, including financial statement analysis and loan structuring.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with clear guidance from supervisors.
  • Attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and the ability to anticipate needs.
  • Proficient in computer operations and Windows applications.
  • Active involvement in community events and strong networking capabilities.
  • Effective sales and superior customer service skills are essential.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Completion of required annual regulatory training is necessary.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Experience: A minimum of three to seven years in commercial lending and banking is required.

Travel Requirements: Must be willing to travel as needed within the bank's operational areas and to client locations.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate instructions and information clearly and accurately.
  • Capability to read and comprehend complex documents and details for accurate processing.
  • Manual dexterity for operating office equipment and computers.
  • Visual acuity necessary for working at a computer terminal.
  • Mobility to coordinate departmental activities and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required.

Work Environment:

This position is based in a professional office setting and routinely utilizes standard office equipment, including computers, printers, phones, and postage meters.
