Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing safe and effective diagnostic imaging services to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment, including cameras and scanners, to ensure optimal image quality.
  • Position patients for imaging procedures and ensure their safety and comfort throughout the process.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of nuclear medicine procedures and protocols.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and technologies in nuclear medicine.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved AMA Nuclear Medicine Program.
  • ARRT Nuclear Technology certification.
  • Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in nuclear medicine.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year of experience in nuclear medicine.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Working Conditions

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent exposure to radiation. The successful candidate must be able to lift and move patients as needed and work in a team-oriented setting.
