Job Summary

Zachry Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Supervisor to lead our construction teams. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment, managing crew performance, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of heavy equipment operators, ensuring that tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Crew Management: Manage and develop a team of heavy equipment operators, providing guidance, training, and feedback to ensure high levels of performance and productivity.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, ensuring that all vehicles and machinery are in good working condition and meet company standards.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all heavy equipment operations are conducted in accordance with company safety policies and procedures, and that all relevant regulations and laws are complied with.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze crew performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role, with a strong track record of managing teams and achieving results.
  • Heavy Equipment Operations: Extensive experience operating heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, and other heavy machinery.
  • Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
Physical Demands
  • Physical Activity: The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent standing, walking, and bending.
  • Visual Requirements: The ability to see and hear in a noisy environment, with the ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Manual Dexterity: The ability to use hands and arms to operate heavy equipment and perform manual tasks.
