Migrant Education Program Advocate

Join Fayette County Public Schools in a dynamic role that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of migrant students and their families. As a Migrant Education Program Advocate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the academic success and well-being of these students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement programs to support migrant students' academic and social needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other stakeholders to identify and address barriers to student success.
  • Provide individualized support and guidance to migrant students and their families.
  • Recruit and engage migrant families in the educational process.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations and agencies to provide additional resources and support.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Experience working with migrant students and families.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions:
  • Work is performed in a school setting with occasional travel to community locations.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
  • Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
