We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist PRN to join our team at AdventHealth Riverview. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.

About the Role

Under general supervision, you will be responsible for imaging both neuro and body scans on patients from neonate to geriatric, following the age-specific guidelines of Facility parameters. You will also transmit images for diagnostic interpretation and keep the hospital computer system up to date with the progress of these exams.

Responsibilities
  • Perform all exams, including the most difficult, using Facility CT protocols.
  • Use Facility policy for proper identification of patient prior to performing exam.
  • Educate patient concerning exam.
  • Properly screen patients for any contrast allergies.
  • Complete all exams in a timely manner, keeping workflow moving, minimizing empty table time.
  • Follow through after completing exam with communication, transportation, and discharge of OP's.
  • Perform all types of imaging procedures and operate all equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, and monitors.
  • Properly screen patients of childbearing age and operate all imaging equipment in a safe manner, minimizing radiation exposure to patients, families, and co-workers.
  • Practice infection control standards, utilizing approved PPE and disinfectant agents.
  • Maintain properly stocked, organized, and clean room.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or Technical degree in a related field.
  • One year CT experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Completion of Radiologic Technology training and A.R.R.T.(R) registration.
  • General Radiographer state license as required by state if applicable.
  • ARRT - CT.
