Community Focus: AdventHealth Riverview

· AdventHealth is enhancing our medical capabilities and innovative technologies in southern Hillsborough County with the establishment of a new hospital in Riverview.

· The upcoming AdventHealth Riverview facility will feature 82 beds initially, with the potential to expand to 202 beds.

· This significant investment in Riverview includes a 100,000 square foot, four-story Medical Office Building for convenient access to expert healthcare.

· The hospital will provide a diverse array of healthcare services, including emergency care, cardiovascular services, digestive health, urology, orthopedics, and women's health.

Your Role:

Under general supervision, your primary responsibilities will involve conducting imaging procedures for both neuro and body scans on patients of all ages, adhering to the facility's age-specific guidelines. You will transmit images for diagnostic interpretation and maintain the hospital's computer system with exam progress updates. The CT Technologist II will actively engage in exceptional customer service and uphold respectful relationships while embodying the principles of AdventHealth. Additional responsibilities may include managing departmental statistics, inventory tracking, performing complex 3D and CTA studies, ensuring smooth operations across campus locations, conducting advanced exams, and mentoring students or new technologists.

Your Contributions:

· Execute all imaging exams, including complex procedures, following Facility CT protocols and ensuring proper patient identification prior to exams. Educate patients about their procedures and screen for contrast allergies.

· Complete exams efficiently, maintaining workflow and minimizing idle time. Ensure effective communication regarding patient transportation and discharge post-exam.

· Conduct various imaging procedures and operate all related equipment safely and effectively, demonstrating the necessary skills to adapt protocols for patients of all ages.

· Screen patients of childbearing age appropriately and operate imaging equipment safely to minimize radiation exposure. Adhere to infection control standards and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Experience:

· Associate's or Technical degree in a relevant field

· Minimum of one year of experience in CT

· Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

· Completion of Radiologic Technology training and A.R.R.T.(R) registration

· State license as a General Radiographer, if applicable

· ARRT - CT certification
