Position Overview

We are seeking a Highway Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act in a technical capacity under the guidance of a Project Manager for the engineering development of highway and roadway projects in both urban and rural settings.
  • Supervise the work of CAD Designers and junior engineering personnel.
  • Develop comprehensive engineering designs for roadway and highway initiatives.
  • Engage in activities from site feasibility assessments to final design and construction phases.
  • Take on project management responsibilities and liaise with clients as necessary.
  • Execute additional tasks as required.
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in all facets of roadway engineering design, including urban and rural highway interchanges, intersection design, traffic management, and transportation planning.
  • Professional Engineering license.
  • Proficient in using MicroStation, InRoads, GEOPAK, LDD, or other CAD design software.
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • A commitment to actively participating in our employee-owned culture.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) projects.
