Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert civil engineering assistance for the planning, design, construction, and upkeep of facilities serving various military branches.
  • Engage in a diverse array of civil engineering projects, including site development, road construction, airfield management, water supply systems, sewer infrastructure, drainage solutions, and solid waste management.
  • Work collaboratively with project stakeholders and other engineering disciplines to ensure effective system integration and project compliance.
  • Utilize broad knowledge and experience in civil engineering principles and practices across various shore-based engineering projects.

Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Civil Engineering is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering or Engineering Technology program.
  • A minimum of 5 years of civil design experience, including at least 1 year on Capital Improvement projects for a Federal Agency.
  • Experience with topographical survey equipment is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense (DOD) and Navy specifications, as well as relevant industry codes and standards.
  • Proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD, civil design/analysis software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of related architectural and engineering disciplines and their influence on civil engineering design.
  • Ability to produce comprehensive written analyses, consolidate findings, and deliver presentations effectively.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, planning, and project management techniques, including team coordination.

Work Environment:

  • Availability to work on-site during standard 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday.
