Key Responsibilities:

  • As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will take the lead in designing and coordinating various infrastructure projects, including roadways, drainage systems, and utilities for both public and private sector clients.
  • Your role will involve collaborating with multidisciplinary teams within the organization to ensure the delivery of high-quality projects and exceptional service.
  • Specific duties will encompass performing design calculations, generating quantity and cost estimates, and preparing detailed project plans.
  • You will be responsible for compiling, drafting, and refining technical documentation, including reports, feasibility studies, and project specifications.
  • Additionally, you will assist in the development of proposals, project budgets, timelines, and public engagement initiatives.
  • Oversight of the work conducted by Engineers in Training (EITs) or Technicians will also be part of your responsibilities.

As you progress in your career, you may also manage and coordinate project activities to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery. This includes maintaining regular communication with clients, overseeing project schedules and budgets, and coordinating with subconsultants.

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution, along with 4-7 years of relevant experience in Transportation or Municipal engineering.
  • You should be proficient in interpreting construction plans and technical documents, with a solid understanding of design software, preferably AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation, as well as Hydro CAD.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
  • Preferred candidates will hold a Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license or demonstrate the ability to obtain one within six months.
  • Strong communication skills and a dedicated work ethic are essential for success in this role.
