POSITION OVERVIEW:

Under the guidance of a Compactor Shop Technician A, Lead Compactor Shop Technician Supervisor, or Manager, the Mobile Compactor Repair Technician is responsible for diagnosing, designing, installing, and repairing compactors and power units. This role requires adherence to the company's safety protocols and standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Replace hydraulic cylinders as needed.
  • Fabricate replacement hoses and fittings.
  • Weld steel components utilizing MIG and Arc welding techniques.
  • Cut steel using plasma cutting or torch methods.
  • Create steel components for compactors.
  • Conduct on-site repairs at customer locations.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Complete necessary documentation.
  • Install company and safety decals according to established standards.
  • Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned.
  • Refer complex repairs to the Technician A or Lead Technician.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven skills in welding, hydraulics, or electronics.
  • Proficiency in using MIG & stick welders, plasma cutters, and airless paint sprayers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with hydraulic pumps and hoses.
