Position Summary:
At WAXIE Sanitary Supply, our distribution network is fundamental to our operations.

Our warehouses are stocked with a comprehensive range of sanitary products and janitorial tools, enabling us to promptly and effectively fulfill our clients' requirements.

This efficiency is made possible by our dedicated warehouse team, who play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and organized daily workflow.

Under the guidance of a Warehouse Manager, our personnel ensure that inventory is accurately received, organized, and dispatched to our clients in a timely manner.

Typical working hours for this position are from 6 AM to 3 PM, with opportunities for additional hours.

Compensation ranges from $19.00 to $21.00 per hour, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

JOB OVERVIEW
The Warehouse Operations Associate at WAXIE is tasked with the efficient receiving and organization of incoming merchandise.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate forklifts and/or cherry pickers to receive and unload shipments in various quantities.

  • Utilize RF devices or tablets to accurately pick and scan products.
  • Organize merchandise according to inventory specifications.
  • Ensure precise inventory management and product labeling.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of warehouse pathways.
  • Conduct daily inspections of equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Perform additional related tasks as required.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a warehouse setting is necessary.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Strong verbal communication abilities.
  • Capability to safely operate warehouse machinery, including forklifts, order pickers, electric pallet jacks, manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and balers.

  • Availability to work from 6 AM to 3 PM, with potential for extended hours.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • Capacity to push/pull loads up to 500 lbs using a pallet jack.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for the entirety of the shift.
  • Frequent bending is required throughout the shift.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Exposure to varying temperatures and dusty conditions.
  • Engaging in heavy lifting, pushing/pulling, standing, and walking during the shift.
