Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
The Warehouse Forklift Operator is tasked with the reception, storage, and distribution of materials and products within the distribution center. This role involves operating a stand-up forklift or reach truck while utilizing RF technology to place received pallets into designated warehouse locations.
Core Duties:
Review production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to identify items for movement or distribution.
Lower overhead products to the picking area.
Stock and replenish products in appropriate locations, including overhead storage.
Rotate inventory based on date codes.
Achieve proficiency with NTS on both handheld and screen-mounted devices.
Transport materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other specified locations.
Receive, document, store, and rotate products. Sort and organize perishable items in refrigerated areas.
Utilize computers and/or Radio Frequency Units to log and track inventory.
Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned.
Maintain consistent attendance.
Adhere to safety protocols.
Safeguard confidential company information.
Operate forklifts and reach trucks to manage the movement of goods.
Position forks or lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, or boxed products to transport loads to designated areas.
Unload and stack materials by adjusting the lifting device.
Load or unload materials onto or off of pallets or skids.
Utilize material handling equipment to transfer cartons from the picking area to the dock.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Qualifications:
A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a distribution center or warehouse setting, including receiving, order pulling, packing, and shipping is preferred.
Previous experience operating powered industrial equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, stock pickers) is preferred.
Strong communication skills with internal customers and management.
Ability to follow safety guidelines as instructed.
Capability to work independently without direct supervision.
Willingness to work in all departments (Dry, Cooler, Freezer)
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
While performing the duties of this position, the associate is exposed to a warehouse environment where temperatures may vary significantly. The associate is rarely exposed to outside weather conditions. Noise levels in the work environment are typically moderate to high.
