About the Role

The Inpatient and Outpatient Rehabilitation Admitting Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Rehabilitation Team at MultiCare Health System. This position is responsible for providing administrative support, including data collection, data entry, admitting/registration, phone triage, and insurance verification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Collect and enter accurate patient data, ensuring seamless registration and admitting processes
  • Verify insurance coverage and benefits, ensuring timely and efficient patient care
  • Manage phone calls, respond to inquiries, and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Process billing information, post payments, and reconcile cash transactions
  • Collaborate with the Rehabilitation Team to ensure efficient and effective patient care

Requirements

  • Vocational business training or college coursework, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum three years of experience with computer software applications
  • Minimum three years of clerical support experience in a similar position, medical office, or healthcare environment
