Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of all physical plant systems, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance staff, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure the optimal operation of our facilities.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions to prevent equipment failures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and provide exceptional service to our residents.
  • Develop and maintain a culture of safety and quality, ensuring that all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
  • Develop and implement energy conservation and sustainability initiatives to reduce our environmental impact.
Requirements
  • 5 years of experience in physical plant operations, with 2-3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Associate's degree in a related field, such as facilities management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, both written and orally.
  • Ability to work with the elderly in a courteous and friendly manner, demonstrating patience and compassion.
  • Ability to perform duties with consideration for residents' rights and demonstrate integrity and discretion in the care of residents.
  • Ability to multi-task, make independent decisions, follow instructions, and be receptive to feedback.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
  • Valid Florida Driver's License with a good driving record.
