Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Plumbing Drain Technician to perform drain cleaning, jetting, and cable work related to drain cleaning in a safe, timely, and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of residential and commercial plumbing, excellent communication skills, and a professional appearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete all drain cleaning, jetting, and cable work related to drain cleaning in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.
- Educate and assist customers on the importance of sewer inspection, repair, and replacement.
- Understand monthly goals and hold yourself accountable for exceeding revenue goals.
- Exhibit a professional and knowledgeable attitude to win new referrals and repeat business.
- Work with field technicians, warehouse, dispatch, and management to ensure overall success and profit of Abacus Plumbing.
- Communicate with camera tech personnel on all pertinent jobs.
- Offer the camera service for every mainline or kitchen stoppage.
- Protect all company drain equipment and jetting equipment against abuse, misuse, and negligence.
- Participate actively in all training exercises, morning meetings, and training of new personnel.
- Keep accurate daily time cards, prepare, and complete all incentive pay on a minimum weekly basis.
- Prepare and deliver accurate, precise, and complete documentation on all job sites.
- Ensure Abacus Plumbing has secured payment for all services rendered.
- Train and mentor apprentices to ensure safe, quick, and accurate installations.
- Maintain and uphold all company policies.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of residential and commercial plumbing.
- Professional appearance and grooming are a MUST.
- Must be able to pass the background check, drug screen, and have the minimum allowable driving record.
- Personable and able to work with a variety of personalities.
- Highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Able to resolve customer satisfaction issues.
- Must have a strong ethical character with a high level of integrity.
- Constantly dedicated to improving as a technician.
- Competitive individual who can contribute to the team's success.
- Motivated problem solver who can adapt to the ever-changing plumbing environment.
- Must meet the minimum TSBPE requirements to operate a Plumbing service vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic skills in Microsoft Windows, including Word and Excel.
