Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, repair, and maintain all plumbing systems, equipment, and fixtures
  • Perform general maintenance on all systems within Facilities Maintenance
  • Read and interpret plumbing and piping prints, schematics, and diagrams
  • Complete and submit material and equipment requirements
  • Clean, maintain, and service sanitary and storm system sumps, drains, waste lines, lift stations, and waste treatment plants
  • Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
  • Utilize pressure testing equipment, gauges, thermometers, and other instruments
  • Able to solder, braze, weld, cut, and thread all types of piping and tubing
  • Notify supervisor of malfunctioning equipment
  • Assist other trades and move equipment as required
  • Maintain inventory of plumbing supplies and equipment
  • Must be available for emergencies, required overtime, varied work schedules, and shifts
  • Clean assigned areas and equipment
  • Promote safety awareness and follow safety procedures to reduce or eliminate accidents
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience as a Plumber
  • Valid State of Texas Driver's License
  • Valid State of Texas Journeyman Plumber License
  • Good working knowledge of plumbing codes
  • Able to complete/fill-out written reports, records, and forms
  • Able to maintain and/or obtain additional licensing or certifications as required
