The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Clinical Faculty Member in Psychiatry within its Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive psychiatric care to adult patients, which may include both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Oversee and mentor psychiatry residents, fellows, and medical students in their clinical training.
- Provide services through various modalities, including in-person consultations, telehealth, and at affiliated sites.
- Be available for on-call duties during nights and weekends to support the psychiatry service.
This role is particularly suited for a clinician with a passion for academic psychiatry, education, and research initiatives.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess an MD, DO, or equivalent degree and be board-eligible in Psychiatry. Fellowship training in geriatric psychiatry, psychosomatic medicine, or addiction psychiatry/medicine is strongly preferred.
