As an Equipment Mechanic, you'll be responsible for diagnosing and performing repairs and overhauls to engines, including inspection and replacement of broken or worn parts. Your expertise will also be required to diagnose, repair, clean, adjust, and install fuel, ignition, electrical, and cooling systems.

Job Summary

In this role, you'll be working with the latest technologies to ensure that the State of California's equipment is running at optimal levels. Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills will be essential in diagnosing and repairing complex issues, and your ability to work independently and as part of a team will be highly valued.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and perform repairs and overhauls to engines
  • Diagnose, repair, clean, adjust, and install fuel, ignition, electrical, and cooling systems
  • Diagnose and repair transmission systems
  • Diagnose, repair, and adjust steering mechanisms and other controls

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment maintenance and repair, with experience working with complex engines and systems. You'll be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
