Heavy Equipment Operator - Richmond
Job Summary:
Drive a truck for transporting construction material and heavy construction equipment. May have various kinds of beds attached, such as dump, flat bed, semi-trailer or trailer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.
- Load heavy construction equipment/material to and from jobs.
- Knowledge of DOT standards and requirements and adhere to same.
- Pre and post trip inspections.
- Maintain daily log.
- Understanding verbal & written directions, GPS.
- Duties described herein are not exhaustive and may be supplemented.
- Able to communicate with management & foreman on job sites.

- Any other duties assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience.
- Must possess a valid CDL, Class A license.
- N and/or H endorsements a plus.
- Positive driving record.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Ability to do basic math.
Physical Demands:
Job requires the following motions:
climbing, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, vibrating, and reaching.
Requires lifting up to 50 lbs.
Overtime work is required.
Potential exposure to extremes of hot or cold weather.
