Pharmacy Technician Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our pharmacists and ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain competence in dispensing and delivery of medications, including the use of information systems, technology, and automation.
- Prepare non-sterile products in accordance with USP, state, and federal recommendations.
- Enter medication orders into the computer system and process medication requests via the computer system.
- Manage phone calls from customers and team members, providing timely and accurate resolution or hand-off as needed.
- Comply with legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards, including controlled substance procedures, USP procedures, and DNV requirements.
- Licensure: State of Wisconsin (registration) or equivalent.
- Certification: CPhT issued by PTCB or ExCPT within two years of hire, or sooner if required by law.
- Education: High School Graduate.
- Experience: No experience required.
This role requires frequent fine motor motion of hands and wrists to operate a keyboard and manipulate syringes. You will also be required to lift, carry, and/or push/pulls various items while utilizing proper technique. Additionally, you must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, bend, kneel, climb, twist, crawl, and reach above shoulders. You must also have functional speech, vision, touch, and hearing. You may be exposed to chemical hazards.
