Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated individual for the role of Financial Reporting Analyst. This position entails overseeing the financial reporting process, requiring a comprehensive understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), proficiency in accounting systems, and a commitment to enhancing the efficiency of financial reporting operations. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and the ability to deliver results within tight deadlines while collaborating effectively across various departments in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the preparation of the Company’s consolidated financial statements, including quarterly Form 10-Q and annual Form 10-K reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Oversee XBRL filing requirements and collaborate with internal and external SEC counsel to ensure timely submissions of all SEC reports.
- Assist in the preparation and review of the Annual Proxy Statement and lead the development of necessary disclosures, registration statements, earnings releases, and other financial documents.
- Contribute as a member of the Company’s Disclosure Committee, preparing and presenting meeting materials.
- Document and design internal controls related to financial reporting to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
- Support annual audits and quarterly reviews conducted by external auditors, as well as internal control testing.
- Maintain the SEC reporting calendar, coordinating key timelines and deliverables while managing cross-functional information gathering.
- Identify and document accounting and disclosure-related matters, benchmarking best practices.
- Coordinate all aspects of SEC reporting, including data collection, processing, drafting, and filing.
- Research technical accounting issues and prepare position memos, including considerations of new accounting guidance.
- Lead the documentation and compliance processes for internal controls related to financial reporting.
- Implement new accounting standards across processes and systems.
- Drive continuous improvements in SEC reporting operations, focusing on execution and optimization.
- Collaborate with global cross-functional partners to gather inputs, seek reviews, and maintain updates on project status.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification or equivalent preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial analysis.
- Expertise in financial systems and familiarity with ERP and reporting tools, including General Ledger and SEC Reporting systems.
- Technical experience with GAAP, SEC reporting, revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, purchase accounting, lease accounting, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
- Experience in fast-paced environments with a keen interest in technology.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
