Job Summary:

The Operating Room X-Ray Radiology Technologist will be responsible for setting up sterile trays and assisting the radiologists during various procedures, including myelograms, arthograms, and steroid injections. The technologist will also be responsible for emergent X-rays from the Emergency Department and In-Patient areas, as well as routine X-rays ordered.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up sterile trays and assist radiologists during procedures
  • Perform emergent X-rays from the Emergency Department and In-Patient areas
  • Conduct routine X-rays ordered by physicians
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently
  • Communicate effectively with staff, physicians, patients, and their families
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
  • AART Registered in Radiology
  • Experience with C-arm, O-arm, and Portable Digital Equipment
  • BLS current
  • Current Texas state license to Texas Medical Board
  • 3 years of hospital experience preferred
  • Knowledgeable of local, state, federal, and Joint Commission Regulations
