We are redefining the landscape of radiology, positioning it as an essential initial step in accurate diagnosis and effective treatment.

As a Medical Imaging Technologist, your primary responsibility will be to operate designated imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' bodies.

Emphasizing a patient-focused approach, you will deliver radiologic services adhering to professional standards while ensuring exceptional customer care. Each patient arrives at our facilities in search of clarity.

You will assist patients through this sometimes challenging journey by clearly explaining the process and addressing their inquiries and concerns regarding the imaging procedures.

This role is per diem, with variable shifts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Patient Imaging: Conduct thorough screenings of patients prior to examinations, utilizing two patient identifiers to confirm the correct individual and procedure.
  • Patient Preparation: Clearly articulate and prepare patients for imaging procedures, ensuring proper positioning for optimal imaging.
  • Imaging Procedures: Execute routine and advanced imaging techniques on specified body areas for physician use in diagnosing and treating illnesses or injuries, minimizing the need for repeat scans while providing ongoing support to patients.
  • Parameter Adjustment: Appropriately adjust imaging parameters, employing dose reduction strategies as necessary.
  • Collaboration: Maintain a positive demeanor and foster effective working relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues.
  • Compliance: Follow physician directives precisely and adhere to safety protocols to safeguard yourself, patients, and coworkers.
  • Record Maintenance: Accurately document patient information within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Work Area Management: Keep a tidy and organized workspace, promoting safe practices for patients and staff.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all equipment is functioning properly; clean and disinfect after each use.
  • Regulatory Adherence: Comply with all HIPAA regulations.
  • Department Support: Assist in maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and monitor medical supply inventory.
  • Training: Support the onboarding of new staff by providing guidance and technical expertise as needed.
