The Comprehensive Intelligence Analyst will leverage expertise in evaluating intelligence from diverse sources to analyze and interpret national security matters, particularly focusing on North Korea. The role encompasses generating intelligence outputs, drafting analytical reports, and overseeing intelligence production processes. Additionally, the analyst will be responsible for translating documents between Korean and English, preparing presentations, and collaborating with various defense and intelligence organizations. Proficiency in using intelligence automated systems and managing intelligence information-sharing databases is essential.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conducts thorough analysis utilizing intelligence and information from various sources to evaluate, interpret, predict, and clarify a range of national security challenges and developments that are either regional or functional.
  • Generates intelligence outputs related to North Korea, encompassing its military, political leadership, national military strategy, strategic doctrine, regional relations, and security concerns.
  • Assists in drafting or composing intelligence assessments regarding specific nations and/or regions based on political dynamics and/or military capabilities.
  • Translates, reviews for quality, and updates all documents and products between Korean and English, as requested.
  • Prepares Intelligence Information Reports (IIR).

Additional Duties:

  • Monitors and coordinates intelligence production requirements, preparing studies, publications, and presentations.
  • Maintains and manages intelligence information-sharing databases, data formats, and products, as well as shared directories.
  • Utilizes intelligence automated systems such as COLISEUM, MIDB, MARS, CHROME, HOTR, CRATE, and other multi-intelligence disciplines and analytical tools.
  • Collaborates with USINDOPACOM, Services, Intelligence Community (IC), and DIA HQ production personnel to synchronize all-source intelligence efforts.
  • Acts as a primary point of contact for U.S. J22/C22 with the Republic of Korea (ROK) Ministry of National Defense (MND), Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), and component commands to facilitate collaboration on intelligence standards.
  • Facilitates data entry and retrieval to support coordinated prioritization of community efforts and address identified deficiencies.
  • Participates in multiple exercises annually.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert in the assigned domain.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of DIA writing, tradecraft, and briefing protocols.
  • Familiarity with classified research tools.
  • Comfortable presenting to senior leadership.
  • Experience collaborating closely with host nation partners.
  • Knowledge of MIDB or equivalent system operating procedures and production standards.
  • Adept at identifying data gaps, inconsistencies, and record associations to ensure data accuracy, quality, and reliability.

Required Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI with current in-scope CI/Poly.

Required Education & Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in Intelligence Analysis and a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
