The analyst will also be tasked with translating documents between Korean and English, preparing detailed briefings, and collaborating with various defense and intelligence organizations. Proficiency in utilizing automated intelligence systems and maintaining information-sharing databases is essential for this role.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conducts thorough analysis utilizing intelligence and information from various sources to evaluate, interpret, forecast, and elucidate a range of national security issues and developments, both regional and functional.
  • Generates intelligence products related to North Korea, focusing on its military structure, political leadership, national military strategy, strategic doctrine, regional interactions, and security challenges.
  • Assists in the drafting or authorship of intelligence assessments relevant to specific nations and/or regions based on political dynamics and/or military capabilities.
  • Translates, reviews for quality, and updates all documents and products between Korean and English as required.
  • Prepares Intelligence Information Reports (IIR) as necessary.

Additional Duties:

  • Monitors and coordinates intelligence production requirements, preparing studies, publications, and briefings.
  • Maintains and manages intelligence information-sharing databases, data formats, and shared directories.
  • Utilizes automated intelligence systems such as COLISEUM, MIDB, MARS, CHROME, HOTR, CRATE, and other multi-intelligence analysis tools.
  • Collaborates with USINDOPACOM, Services, Intelligence Community (IC), and DIA HQ production personnel to synchronize all-source intelligence efforts.
  • Acts as a point of contact for U.S. J22/C22 with the Republic of Korea (ROK) Ministry of National Defense (MND), Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), and component commands to enhance DIA collaboration on tradecraft standards.
  • Facilitates data entry and retrieval to support coordinated prioritization of community efforts and rectify identified deficiencies.
  • Participates in various exercises throughout the year.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert in their designated domain.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of DIA writing, tradecraft, and briefing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with classified research tools and resources.
  • Comfortable presenting to senior leadership.
  • Experience collaborating closely with host nation partners.
  • Knowledge of MIDB or equivalent system operating procedures and production standards.
  • Adept at identifying data gaps, inconsistencies, and ensuring data integrity and quality.

Required Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI with current in-scope CI/Poly.

Required Education & Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in Intelligence Analysis, along with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
