Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Imaging Specialist to join our team at UofL Health. As an MRI Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for operating a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain high-quality images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate magnetic resonance scanners to obtain high-quality images for use by physicians
- Maintain knowledge and awareness of high magnetic field strength safety
- Prepare and administer contrast media in accordance with hospital policy and procedure, as well as state and federal regulations
- Obtain patient history and screening forms, explain routine procedures, and address patient concerns
- Maintain patient records and files, and perform quality assurance on magnetic resonance scanners as needed
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- Valid Kentucky Radiation Operator's License
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
