Job Summary

UofL Health is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As an MRI Technologist, you will operate a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain high-quality images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.

Responsibilities

• Operate magnetic resonance scanners to obtain high-quality images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies

• Maintain knowledge and awareness of high magnetic field strength safety

• Prepare and administer contrast media in accordance with hospital policy and procedure as well as state and federal regulations

• Obtain patient history and screening forms, explain routine procedures, and address patient concerns

• Maintain patient records and files and perform quality assurance on magnetic resonance scanners, as needed

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology

• Valid Kentucky Radiation Operator's License

• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR)

• Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
