We are seeking a Funeral Assistant to provide exceptional support to our Family Service Directors at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery and Funeral Center in Hayward, CA.

As a Funeral Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of family service, including greeting arriving families, maintaining the service environment, and providing support during funeral services.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide exceptional customer service to families and guests
* Maintain the service environment, including setting up services and supplies
* Assist Family Service Directors with funeral services and other tasks as needed
* Work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
* Possess a valid California Driver's License and proof of insurance
* Knowledge of modern office methods and technologies
* Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
* Comfortable viewing deceased persons
* Able to work a flexible schedule
* Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred
* Must be at least 21 years of age

Requirements

* High school diploma or GED required
* 1-2 years customer service experience, including direct contact with the public
* Physical agility required, including sitting, standing, walking, bending legs and spine
* Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds
