Job Summary:

  • Provide expert analysis of legislative developments affecting special operations forces (SOF) to support the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (OASD) Special Operations Low-Intensity Conflict (SO/LIC).
  • Coordinate and track proposed legislation impacting SOF, ensuring timely updates for SO/LIC leadership.
  • Prepare detailed analysis and summaries of key legislative points for SO/LIC leadership.
  • Assist in drafting Congressional testimony and preparing relevant materials for meetings.
  • Provide technical support and advice on Congressional hearings, reports, and budget matters.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) with at least 8 years of relevant professional experience in government affairs or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of Federal Department-level experience working with relevant congressional committees.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to provide technical support.
  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree from an accredited university.
  • 10+ years of experience working with House and Senate Armed Services, Foreign Affairs, Intelligence, and Appropriations committees.
