Job Opportunity

Industrial Inspection & Analysis is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team in a production or manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation: Operate a range of machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders, to produce metal samples.
  • Job Planning: Determine the amount of material to remove, calculate cutting and boring locations, and select tools and materials for the job.
  • Quality Control: Maintain quality and safety standards, and ensure the proper functioning of equipment.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of machining experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Ability to operate standard and specialized equipment, understand and follow safety procedures, and maintain project schedules.
  • Certifications: Valid state driver's license and knowledge of workplace health and safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: 2+ years of machining experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Certifications: Technical certifications or a technical degree in a related field.
Working Conditions
  • Shift Hours: Evening shift hours are typically from 3pm to 11pm, Monday through Friday.
  • Work Environment: Regularly exposed to high-speed machinery and mechanical parts, occasionally exposed to humid conditions, climate/weather variations, and hazardous materials.
Physical Requirements
  • Physical Abilities: Must be able to stand for extended periods, be extremely accurate when working with hands and arms, and regularly walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Lifting: Must be able to occasionally lift and/or push up to 60 lbs.
  • Vision: Must meet vision requirements for the job, including near vision, color vision, and depth perception.
